The crash happened in the 2200 block of Reservoir Drive at 1:46 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
The woman, who was reported to be in a wheelchair, was struck with enough force to throw her across the road and shatter her wheelchair into multiple pieces, police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by Philadelphia Fire Department Medic 25, according to police.
The vehicle is believed to be silver in color, police said. Its direction of travel at the time of the crash is unknown.
